Want a specific campaign to convert more? Keyword Ninja has several features that can help today. This guide walks through them in order of impact — starting with the ones that add converting traffic directly, then the ones that clear the way by freeing up budget and catching problems early.
For each one you’ll get the exact page to open, how to focus it on your single campaign, and what to click.
Before you start: make sure the campaign’s account is connected and has finished its first sync. Most features below read from synced data, so a fresh, completed sync gives you the best recommendations.
Add converting traffic directly
These features grow the number of conversions by putting more of the right keywords and ads in front of the right searches.
1. Capture your winning search terms — start here (free)
This is the most direct way to grow conversions, and it’s available on every plan. The idea is simple: when a real Google search has already converted for you, turn it into a keyword you control — with your own bid, ad, and match type — so you can serve it more often and more reliably.
How to do it
- Open Search Terms Ninja at
/dashboard/search-terms-ninja. - Use the filter breadcrumb at the top to select your one campaign. The deck is pre-sorted to show your highest-converting, not-yet-captured terms first.
- Flip a card to check its conversions and cost-per-conversion.
- Swipe right (or tap Add as keyword), choose a match type — Exact is the default and the safest starting point — and pick where it goes: - Add to Existing Ad Group — capture the term right where it’s already working. - Create New Ad Group — give a top converter its own ad group so you can scale it on a dedicated bid.
- Click Apply to push the change to your Google Ads account.
Good to know: “Create New Ad Group” automatically adds the term as an Exact negative in the original ad group. That’s intentional — it stops the two groups from competing for the same search. You add terms one at a time, and newly promoted keywords won’t appear in your other tables until the next sync.
2. AI Recommendations — growth suggestions (PRO & Enterprise)
Keyword Ninja can read your campaign data and generate ready-to-apply action cards. Most cards are defensive (pausing waste), but several are pure growth moves you can apply with one click.
How to do it
- Open
/dashboard/insights, go to the Recommendations tab, and click Generate. - There’s no per-campaign filter here, so set the breadcrumb to your account and then act only on cards whose campaign label matches the campaign you care about.
- Apply the growth actions: - Add keyword — promote a proven converting search term (pick Exact or Phrase). - Add headline / Add description — fill empty slots in a responsive search ad to raise its Ad Strength. - Enable ad — switch a paused ad that used to convert back on.
Heads up: the “Create RSA” suggestion only previews ad copy — it does not create a live ad. To actually build a new ad, use AI Creative below. AI Recommendations is a PRO/Enterprise feature.
3. AI Creative — stronger ad copy (PRO & Enterprise)
Better ads turn more of your existing clicks into conversions. AI Creative writes and scores responsive search ad copy grounded in the ad group’s real keywords and search queries.
How to do it
- Open
/dashboard/adsand use the breadcrumb to narrow down to your campaign and ad group. - Expand a specific ad row and open the AI Creative section.
- Choose your move: - Score this ad — get concrete, specific fixes. - Generate variants — up to 5 differentiated ad versions to A/B test. - Fresh RSA copy — a brand-new responsive search ad built from the ad group’s keywords.
- Add the best headlines and descriptions, then Apply — either as a new ad alongside the original, or as a replacement that pauses the old one.
Note: AI Creative works per ad / per ad group, so there’s no “do the whole campaign at once” button. Fresh RSA copy needs at least one keyword in the ad group. PRO/Enterprise only.
4. Automate it — “Promote Winning Search Term” (PRO & Enterprise)
If you’d rather set this up once and let it run, the automation gallery has a rule that captures converting search terms for you on a schedule. It also offers the cleanest single-campaign targeting of any feature here.
How to do it
- Open
/dashboard/automations, go to the Gallery tab, find Promote Winning Search Term, and click Deploy. - In the wizard’s Scope step, choose Specific campaigns and check your one campaign. This is true campaign-level targeting, so the rule will never touch your other campaigns.
- Set your thresholds (minimum conversions or clicks, lookback window, match type) and click Preview to see exactly which terms it would add.
- When you’re happy, turn dry-run off so the rule actually adds keywords on its schedule.
Important: this rule’s dry-run setting defaults to on, which means it will only preview candidates until you switch it off. “Set and forget” won’t add anything until you do.
Clear the way for more conversions
These don’t add conversions on their own, but they help your campaign convert more by freeing up budget and catching problems before they cost you.
Free up wasted budget (free)
If your campaign is limited by budget, every dollar spent on traffic that never converts is a conversion you didn’t get. The Wasted-Spend Finder helps you reclaim it.
- Open
/dashboard/wasted-spendand select your campaign in the breadcrumb. - Set your date window, then act on what it finds: pause zero-conversion keywords, add wasteful search terms as negatives, and pause underperforming ads.
Google reallocates the freed-up budget toward traffic that converts — so this lifts total conversions most when your campaign is hitting its daily budget cap. It’s free on all plans.
Catch conversion drops early (free)
Sometimes the fastest way to “get more conversions” is to stop losing them. Keyword Ninja runs a daily, campaign-level scan and alerts you to trouble.
- Check the bell icon in the header or open
/dashboard/notifications. - Watch for conversion crash (marked critical — often a broken tracking pixel or a dead landing page), CTR collapse, and visibility loss. Each alert names the exact campaign affected.
- Triage critical conversion-crash alerts first and fix the campaign’s tracking or landing page quickly.
Note: alerts are detection only — they flag the problem so you can fix it. There’s roughly a one-day lag, and thresholds aren’t user-editable yet.
