Invite your client to Search Terms Ninja
Hand the search-term review to the one person who knows the business best — your client — on a single locked-down screen, while you keep full control and a complete audit trail.
Every Google Ads account leaks budget on searches that were never a fit. Cleaning them up means reading the actual search terms that triggered your ads and making a call on each one: is this a customer, or is this waste?
Here’s the catch most agencies live with. The person best placed to make that call often isn’t in the ad account at all — it’s the client. They know that “free” shoppers never convert, that a competitor’s brand name isn’t them, that “wholesale” is the wrong audience entirely. Getting that knowledge out of their head and into the account usually takes a spreadsheet, a call, and a week of email tag.
Client Access closes that gap. You invite your client to a single screen — the Search Terms Ninja review board — scoped to their account and nothing else. They swipe through real searches and tell you which to keep and which to block. Their decisions apply to the account immediately, and you see every one of them.
How it works, in one minute
You invite a client by email and pick the one account they’ll review. They get a link and a temporary code, set their own password, and land on a review board that shows one search term at a time — the real query, what it cost, whether it converted.
For each one they do the obvious thing: add it as a keyword if it’s a customer, block it as a negative if it’s not, or skip it if they’re unsure. That’s the entire interface. No dashboard, no settings, no menus — just the decision that only they can make well.
What they can’t see matters just as much as what they can. A client is locked to that one account and to the review board only. No budgets, no billing, no other clients, no campaign structure, no way to wander into the rest of your workspace.
What the agency gets
- The right person makes the judgment call. You stop guessing whether “supplier near me” is a lead or a tire-kicker. The client who answers those calls all day tells you directly.
- No training, no new logins to manage. There’s exactly one screen to explain. The client signs in with an email and a password they set — no Google account required, nothing for you to provision.
- Their decisions go live — no copy-paste. Every keyword added and every negative blocked applies to Google Ads through your connection. No exported lists, no re-keying someone else’s spreadsheet at midnight.
- A complete, honest audit trail. Every change a client makes is recorded in your Change Log under their name — you can see exactly what was added or blocked, when, and undo anything that doesn’t belong.
- You stay in control. Invite, resend the link, or revoke access at any time from your Team page. Access ends the moment you say so.
- Clients who feel like partners. When a client sees the searches their budget is spent on and gets to act on them, they stop treating optimization as a black box — and start treating it as shared work.
What the client gets
- A say in where their money goes. They finally get to point at a search and say “that’s not us” or “yes, we want more of that” — and have it actually happen.
- Dead simple, on their phone. One card at a time, a couple of taps, a few minutes. No Google Ads knowledge, no jargon, no dashboard to get lost in.
- Real transparency. They see the actual searches that triggered their ads and what each one cost. For a lot of clients, that’s the first time the ad spend has ever felt concrete.
- Their input does something. Because changes apply live, the client isn’t filling out a form that disappears into a queue. They flag it, it’s handled.
- They stay in their lane. No risk of breaking a campaign or drowning in reports — the board only lets them do the one thing they’re good at.
Setting it up
There are two ways in, both on Pro and Enterprise plans:
- From
/dashboard/team, open the Invite a client section, enter the client’s email, and choose the account they’ll review. They’ll appear under Clients, separate from your team members. - Or, right from the review board, use the Share with a client button in the top-left corner — it’s pre-filled with the account you’re already looking at.
Your client gets an email with a link and a six-digit temporary password. The first time they visit, they choose their own password; after that they just sign in, and a long-lived session keeps them logged in so they can pop back whenever they have a minute. A client uses one seat on your plan, and you can revoke or resend access any time from the Team page.
The short version
The best negative-keyword list isn’t the one your account manager guessed at — it’s the one the client would have written if you’d only handed them the pen. Client Access hands them the pen, on a screen where they can’t do any harm, and writes their answers straight into the account while you watch every stroke.
Invite a client, and let the person who knows the business decide what counts.
