First sync still running after 20 minutes - normal for a year of history?

Probably a dumb question. I connected my account this morning and the initial import has been going for a bit over twenty minutes. The status still says it's working, nothing has errored, but I have no idea whether that's normal or whether I should have started over ten minutes ago. The account is small by most standards here, one campaign and maybe 400 keywords, but it is asking for a year of history. How long does this usually take?

Not a dumb question at all, it's the most common one we get on day one. Twenty minutes is normal and on a busy account it can run considerably longer. A first import isn't one request, it's a sequence: structure first, then search terms, then the per-day performance for every keyword across the whole year. That last stage is the slow one, and it scales with how many days of history you asked for rather than how many keywords you have. A small account pulling a full year can easily take longer than a big account pulling a month. What matters is whether it's still moving. If the job is still marked as running an hour from now then it's stuck rather than slow, and you should reply here with the account name so I can look from our side. Do not start it again in the meantime. That just puts you back at the start of the same queue.

Finished around the 35 minute mark and everything looks right. Thanks Dana.
